Sample report

What an audit report looks like

Every finding comes with its standard, its evidence, the fix and how to check it.

This is not a real customer's store. We set up a demonstration WooCommerce store on the free Storefront theme, audited it with an item in the cart, wrote up what we found, applied the fixes in a child theme and re-tested. No customer's data is shown. A Shopify store gets the same report with Liquid fixes instead.

What is in the report

  1. Summary. Counts by severity, where most problems come from, what to fix first and a rough developer effort.
  2. Scope and method. What was tested, and a clear list of what was not.
  3. Findings. Each with WCAG criterion and level, the EN 301 549 clause, whether it belongs to the current reference (2.1 AA) or is 2.2-only, evidence, current code, the fix and how to verify it.
  4. What already works.
  5. Priority plan and recurring causes. Fix now, fix next, maintain; and the one theme change that clears many findings.
  6. A re-test after the fixes (when you buy the fixes), with before and after numbers per template.
  7. A draft accessibility statement for you to review with your own advisers.
  8. The disclaimer in full.

What the re-test showed

Before the fixes, automated checks found 11 issues across six templates. After the fixes, the same checks found none, and the keyboard pass was clean. Two of the seven findings (F-06 and F-07) appeared only because fixing F-03 changed the checkout. That is why every fix is re-tested.

Zero automated issues does not mean a store meets a standard. Automated tools find only part of the problems a person using assistive technology would meet. See the disclaimer.
